Ey peeps,

I just bought two tournament packs of Ravnica and picked two Hunted
Horror, one is foil. :)
Any tips on how to best use this card? Is it possible to counter spell
the two Centaurs? I could guess the answer already...:)
Maybe it would be best to counter them with a last gasp?!

The Centaur tokens aren't created by a spell, so you can't counter the
creation with a Counterspell. They're created by a triggered ability,
which you could counter with Stifle or Voidslime, for example.

That wouldn't be possible. The tokens have protection from black, and
Last Gasp is a targeted black spell. It's not legal to choose the
token as a target for Last Gasp.

One way round this, as with every comes-into-play ability, is not to
bring the Hunted Horror into play at all. Use something like Dimir
Doppelganger instead.

What you could do is step back a little. Why are the Centaurs a
problem?

- If you need to get the Hunted Horror attacking the opponent and not
being blocked by the Centaurs, to get maximum damage through, then you
could think about tapping the Centaurs, or enchanting them with
something red that makes them unable to block, or giving the Hunted
Horror flying.

- If you need to stop the Centaurs from attacking you, you could
enchant them with something white that stops them from attacking, or
tap them each turn.

- If you really need the tokens gone, you can destroy creatures with
converted mana cost 0, or return them to owner's hand or library, or
force the opponent to sacrifice them somehow.

If none of these issues is a problem (perhaps you're using the Hunted
Horror for some other purpose, like in some weird Greater Good /
Cadaverous Bloom engine) then you don't actually need to worry too much
about the tokens.

It's definitely a difficult card to use, but if you focus on one aspect
and build the deck up, it could be good for a fun route to victory.

Can't gasp them, they are prot black.

Necroplasm works, cast the horror, if you have the mana (1BBBB total
IIRC) cast necroplasm too, at the end of turn the 0 casting cost tokens
go away.

Unfortunately, Necroplasm will kill your Horror two turns after that...
Still, a 7/7 trampler for three turns... Plus, maybe you can sack the
'plasm to something.

They're tokens, so anything that bounces them out of play works well,
mark of eviction (blue though) is a good one.

probably with leyline of singularity :)
it makes all nonland permanents legendary, so the centaur tokens die at
once :)
combine this with blue hunted creature (hunted phantasm), some card
draw, some counters and some removals and you have a flavorful casual
deck :)

Actually, unlike "Watman" wrote, you can counter the centaurs. Since
they are a triggered ability, you can counter them with either stifle
or voidslime.

Best for getting rid of the tokens is red burn though. Anything from
earthquake to incinerate will do the trick. Bounce is also a very good
option, as was already stated above.
